Cyberbullying Resources

The virtual world expands opportunities for bullying almost infinitely. Because cyber abuse is a real and present danger for children and adults, iKeepSafe has teamed up with various partners to raise awareness about cyberbullying and empower youth to become “upstanders” rather than “bystanders.”

CyberMentors, a unique peer-to-peer mentoring program created specifically for 11-18 year olds, teaches students the skills needed to support their peers in and outside of the classroom.

Generation Safe has a variety of anti-bullying resources and tools as outlined in this PDF.
Faux Paw Meets the First Lady: How to Handle Cyberbullying features former First Lady Laura Bush, and teaches young students to prevent others from being abused online, and what to do if they themselves are victimized.

Student Voices is an Emmy Award winning show produced in partnership with Comcast. This segment highlights teens who discuss their personal experiences of being cyberbullied, identifies safety tips, and discusses how and when to make a report. You can also watch part two and part three.
