Ikeepsafe’s partner SWGLT wins prestigious award for their 360 assessment tool

We are very pleased to announce that our partner Southwest Grid for Learning has just won the very prestigious BETT Award. They earned the award for 360 degree safe, an online tool that schools can use to assess their e-safety provision, compare it against other schools, and determine a future action plan for improvement. Because of its capacity to dramatically improve school systems and its proven success in England, iKeepSafe began collaborating with Southwest Grid for Learning to create the new, international product of Generation Safe™ 360 Self Assessment in 2009.
The BETT Awards recognize outstanding educational products and learning solutions, and with a huge number of entries, are seen as the most prestigious in the sector.
The BETT Award judges, consisted of influential stakeholders within the education sector and technology industry, commented:
“The judges found this to be an incredibly powerful tool that offers schools a process for identifying strengths and weaknesses in their e-safety provision. Offering immediate feedback, the system helps leaders and practitioners to continually improve. The tool also provides examples of good practice and expert opinion. This, along with the action plan allows school leaders to make informed decisions.”
They went on to give their reasons:
“It was “clear winner” by the fact that it engages the school community in the whole processes around this important issue. This is an excellent way for schools to move forward. It is a comprehensive, easy to use and developed clearly with users in mind. The resources and advice that is available is good and saves time.”
