2nd Edition of Vodafone’s Digital Parenting Magazine

Today, in honor of the launch of the 2nd edition of Vodafone’s Digital Parenting magazine’s, Vodafone will be distributing the free magazine to hundreds of thousands of parents across the UK.

The aim of Digital Parenting is to help parents feel more confident about getting involved and setting boundaries in their child’s digital world.

“Vodafone Digital Parenting helps to build parents’ and grandparents’ confidence so that they can help children make the most of digital technologies and also understand the potential challenges and risks,” Annie Mullins OBE, Vodafone’s Global Head of Content Standards, said. “We received great feedback about our first issue in 2010 so we’re delighted to be able to provide this free magazine again to hundreds of thousands of parents across the UK.”

The new magazine covers the latest technologies (especially the rise of apps, games, smartphones and social networking services) and speaks to more than 25 experts about the kind of challenges young people face online, on their mobiles and on other digital devices.

It also includes 10 ‘How to’ guides about privacy and safety controls, such as BlackBerry Parental Controls, and guidance for grandparents to help their grandchildren use technology.
